Sports
Sports is a very large category. Personally I play pool and golf for recreation. I like to photograph sports because I consider it a challenge to capture the action. I have taken photos at baseball, softball, track, soccer, basketball, football, and other events that are considered sports. I like to catch the concentration of the pool player or the moment the bat contacts the ball at a baseball or softball game. When shooting sporting events I imagine that I am shooting for a magazine like Sports Illustrated and compare the results to similar shots in the magazine. I consider this subject to be one of the most challenging for me.
I spend free time taking photos at area events mostly high school or summer leagues for the kids. The one professional team that I have been able to spend time photographing is the Fort Wayne Tin Caps. There is a 10K run that is held in Fort Wayne each year and I photographed some of the runners during this event in 2008.
